During the 1976 coup in Argentina, an English teacher rescues a penguin and brings it to his school. His life begins to change when the bird's presence starts to have a positive effect on the school.
Orca Studios worked on multiple sequences of the film including the penguin rescue scene, school terrace shots, and emotional moments between the main character and the penguin.
Their team used advanced cloud-based pipelines, realistic lighting, and texturing to make the visual effects blend perfectly with real footage.
The film included both real penguins and an animatronic “stunt penguin,” and Orca’s VFX team made sure every transition between real and digital looked seamless.
While the studio hasn’t revealed the exact number of VFX shots, the project involved dozens of complex shots combining live action and CG.
