Having recently upgraded from Rails 7.0 to 7.1, we continue down our path to Rails 8 by upgrading to Rails 7.2. In terms of the number of things called out by the Upgrading Ruby on Rails guide, 7.1 to 7.2 is less overall change than the upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1 was.
Our upgrade succeeds without much fanfare. The automated and manual tests pass, and we're able to commit our changes.
One important call-out for this upgrade is the ability to add configuration to your controller to allow only modern browser versions. We do this by adding the line `allow_browser versions: :modern` to the top of our ApplicationController file, which all other controllers inherit from.
