Stateless Code | Inkscape 06: Rework the Stateless Code Logo and Make a Nerdy Die @StatelessCode | Uploaded November 2021 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This is the 6th video in the Enough Inkscape to Be Dangerous series. In this video Mike intends to make a logo for the statelesscode.com WordPress video series (see the next episode), but gets sidetracked by wanting to change the spacing and opacity of the Stateless Code logo. This turns into replacing the logo in all of the assets and extracting the nerdy die from the NerdDice series into its own SVG so it can be used as an icon or avatar.
This video covers:
00:00:12 Introduction plan to make WordPress series logo, get sidetracked
00:02:25 If you give a mouse a cookie: PIVOT and decide to modify the spacing and size of the angle brackets in the main Stateless Code logo
00:06:22 Show overlay of the old and new logos
00:06:46 Fix the opacity on the logo backgroud gradient so it doesn't alter the appearance when the background is light or dark
00:12:49 Extract out the nerdy die from NerdDice into its own SVG
00:13:19 Do a red nerdy die. Change colors of numbers and triangles
00:19:56 Move the glasses on the nerdy die up slightly
00:23:47 Example of using GIMP to convert an SVG to a PNG
