In Luke 12 Jesus told a parable about servants being dressed for service, with their lamps burning, and ready to receive their master who would be returning from a wedding feast. He said that for those the master found ready for him, he would then dress Himself to serve, have them recline at the table, and serve them. Jesus made it clear that He is the returning master. This parable raises important questions for all who claim to be Christians.
Are we watching, serving and shining the light of Christ? Are we living in expectation of His return? Is He leaving a heavenly wedding feast to come and take those who are ready before the Great Tribulation? Will Christ then serve His faithful disciples in heaven?
