Richard (Dick to his friends) and his brother Maurice were the classic American entrepreneurs who founded the McDonald's restaurant in San Bernardino, California, and inventors of the "Speedee Service System," now commonly known as "fast food".
His final resting place can be found at the Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, New Hampshire in the large mausoleum across the street from the actual cemetery next to the cemetery office. Facing the alter at the end of the building, Dick and his wife can be found in a niche on the left.
