SKTheCrusader | The NIP The Party We Deserve And Need @SKTheCrusader | Uploaded April 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Have you heard of this hot new party annoying all of the worst people on the internet? The Northern Independence Party may seem like a joke, but there's a serious issue at the heart of what they're trying to do. The North-South divide in England was put into stark relief with the Covid-19 pandemic and the abdication of radical politics by the nominally left-of-centre opposition party in the UK has left a gap open for a party that takes up these issues. However, the NIP's absurdity has allowed it to do something a minor party, adopting a fringe position may otherwise be unable to do, they've gained attention from mainstream outlets and have recieved a furious backlash from Labour MPs which has only driven engagement with the party.
How did this happen? Why now? and might they be able to pull off a shock upset in the Hartlepool by-election where former Labour MP Thelma Walker is their candidate? Find out in this video!
