Nintendo has officially announced that the eShop for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U will be shut down on March 27, 2023. At which time, players will no longer be able to purchase games digitally on these systems. Players will no longer be able to add money to their wallets on these systems after August 29, 2022. You will still be able to download purchases for the “foreseeable future”.
