Yesterday, Nintendo announced that they will be closing the 3DS and Wii U eShops in March 2023. At which time people will no longer be able to purchase games from those storefronts. Nintendo went on to say people who want to play classic games should subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online Service. They later deleted that message.
