A conversation with real-live nightwatchman Renato Häusler, who keeps alive a 600-year-old tradition in Lausanne, Switzerland. Every night, Renato stays high up in the cathedral tower and announces the hour on the hour. On my tour of Switzerland, I climbed the 153 steps to the top of the tower and got to see him in action. He turned out to be quite the philosopher with lots of wisdom to dispel.
