The Next is a Live Stream concert series featuring artists of the future that is hosted by Artist-In-Residence Niles.
We are so excited to bring you this series once again. Hosted by Chadwick Niles Phillips who is the instructor of the Catalyst Artist Collective! For this event we have two youth artists who are brand new on the scene.
STARR is a 19 year old artist who is an amazing singer and emcee from St. Paul. Some of her musical inspirations are Lexii Alijai and Drake. Her versatile style and raw delivery will definitely keep you intrigued with her music.
Salim is a great emcee/songwriter and student at Concordia College from St. Paul as well. Some of his inspirations are Kendrick Lamar and Chance The Rapper. His subject matter, dope beats and flow will definitely keep it live.
Young aspiring artists (ages 14-24) from Dakota and Ramsey County who are interested in taking the next step are encouraged to apply for this FREE year-round artist development program led by Chadwick “Niles” Phillips.
Engage in weekly individual or group virtual sessions where you will improve your original material, collaborate with others, build your social media, record, and perform while learning the in’s and out’s of the music industry.
As participants progress they will have the opportunity to utilize The Garage’s 2,000 sq ft recording studio to capture their original material. They will also participate in live stream performances every few weeks to showcase their original material.
