On Saturday, May 1st, we will be presenting "The Next Vol 2." featuring Kyros and Detrell Melodies! Hosted by Niles. "The Next" is a virtual concert show series that features artists from the Catalyst Artist Collective which is a group of Twin Cities young artists of different genres that represent the next generation on music. This group is instructed and mentored by Twin Cities Catalyst Music "Artist in residence", Niles as he helps develop them as artists pursuing music as a career.
Detrell Melodies is a 24 year old R&B/Soul singer/songwriter and guitarist from Peoria, IL. When he moved to the Twin Cities, he started performing on the scene at open mics and shows, getting his name known, now his new single "Looking" is being played on "The Current" radio station. Kyros is a 19 year old Hip-Hop artist from St. Paul, MN. Being of Sierra Leone descent, you can hear the cultural integration in his music. He is a student at St. Thomas University who is majoring in finance and has a dream to be a household name in the music world.
Young aspiring artists (ages 14-24) from Dakota and Ramsey County who are interested in taking the next step are encouraged to apply for this FREE year-round artist development program led by Chadwick “Niles” Phillips.
Engage in weekly individual or group virtual sessions where you will improve your original material, collaborate with others, build your social media, record, and perform while learning the in’s and out’s of the music industry.
As participants progress they will have the opportunity to utilize The Garage’s 2,000 sq ft recording studio to capture their original material. They will also participate in live stream performances every few weeks to showcase their original material.
