I got to explore this new area in the Netherlands (New Land/Flevoland) which is not so far from Amsterdam and is a home to vast scenic views, not-to-be-missed land art and modern polder cities. The cities are filled with contemporary architecture and innovative visions! In addition, the wetland areas and national parks are fantastic spots for a hike or a day of bird-watching.
