This story was originally told as a part of The Moth's GrandSlam competition at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA in 2022. The story themes were to be on "Between the Lines," and my story was about turning 18 and starting an adventure with a stranger that might have been able to take me out of my boring life. Storytelling is one of my favorite art forms, and I've been participating in The Moth for many years, in StorySlams, GrandSlams, and even was invited to be a storyteller on the Mainstage. #storytelling #themoth
