EPISODE 2 of 2: Filmmaker Robin Danehav tackles a brutal 1000m ascent to Björlings Glacier, filming the deployment of a 200 m² wool blanket for stoppin the melt, then limps 19 km back—capturing raw truth for his documentary on grassroots climate action.
Episode 1 ended with me—Robin Danehav—reaching Kebnekaise Mountain Station after a 1 298 km drive and a 19 km hike. Episode 2 picks up the next morning: camera batteries full, legs already shaky. My job today is to capture the moment a team of volunteers hauls a 200 sqm wool sheet onto Björlings Glacier. The blanket will spend the summer shielding that ice patch, turning invisible melt into a vivid, year-by-year visual for anyone who doubts climate change.
