My first ever speedrun live on the GDQ stage went better than I could've ever dreamed of. I did a Warpless run of Super Mario Bros. at SGDQ 2023, where a $30K incentive was met to do the entire run with only one hand. I then proceeded to get a 19:37, the 3rd best Warpless run ever performed with one hand! This run also got 4-1 FPG, one of the very few times that trick has ever been performed with one hand! I honestly can't believe how well this run went in this setting, and I'm very happy I was given the opportunity to do this run. This video also includes the interview I did before this run happened.

Finally got my long overdue 21:1x! Shouldve gotten this time so many times over the past few months. I had 1x pace runs late into the run even as early as 6 months ago. This took way too long to say the least, but better late then never I suppose. This run lost a bunch of time too. 1.4 seconds over the course of 6-2 to 7-1, and I didnt get a clip in 7-4. That adds up to about 3 seconds of free timesave. Now that I have this run Ill be going for a sub 21:15 with those timesaves as well as a few others throughout the run that I didnt go for here. Hopefully that will take a lot less time now that Im over the 21:1x hurdle lol. This was also the last stream before I left for a week long vacation, so it was awesome that I was able to clutch this out before I left.

The first 25: the final minute barrier for the category has been broken! This category involves visiting every warp zone in the game in a full playthrough. Of course I get this run on a day where attempts were going awful and I was upset about it when the run started lol. Anyway, this was a pretty clean run; the mistakes were minor and only lost a few seconds here and there. Theres plenty of time on the table still, but this category is starting to get fairly optimized. Id like to take another 10 or so seconds off this time someday, but Im just happy to break this final minute barrier!
