What does it mean for “the morning star” to arise in your heart?

Peter tells us to pay close attention to the prophetic word “as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19).

This is more than simply waiting for something to happen someday. It is an invitation to seek the Lord with everything we have—to surrender our hearts completely and pray:

“Lord God, have full dominion. Come and live and reign in my heart.”

The goal is not merely to know about Christ, but to allow Him to reign within us.
