Mesa Boogie changed everything in the 90's with the rectifier guitar amplifiers. And in 2000 the triple rectifier stood head and shoulders at the top. I introduce a video about how I will renovate the triple rectifier from the ground up.
The basic advantage over the dual rectifier was that the dual rectifier had 100 watts output, but the triple rectifier had a fire breathing 150 watts which then as of now is a very high volume with the right speaker set. This is an introduction video about a triple rectifier that is to be completely renovated and given a 'bling' factor like no other amp.

I have been a very long time protagonist of Mesa Boogie amplifiers and personally that goes back to the early days of the Mark III, then later a Triaxis and 2:90 power amp, then the rectifiers, Mark V's and a Road King II. I never had a bad Mesa Boogie - ever!
But around 2000 I did buy a triple rectifier amp, sold it later, bought another and silly me sold that one too! So when I saw one recently for sale I bought it used from someone in the UK.
On inspection there were many issues with this triple rectifier (or recto as it's also called) - really like most of these out there in the used market with different sorts of common problems and often looking a little tired. So in reality this amp is a perfect specimen to use to fully recondition and bring back up to original specification. It's also useful that the amplifier uses 120 volts for its operation - as I intend to create footage showing how to convert the amp to UK voltages and operation. The power transformer is no longer available, however Mesa Boogie have another one that works fine from the multi-watt rectifier amp.
There are many other issues and problems on this guitar amplifier, but I'll resolve them all, and then go on to add some 'bling' factor that makes this amp stand out from the crowd so that anyone will know immediately that it has had serious work involved to bring it all back up to a 2020 standard.
