New Zealand’s National Film Unit presents 'The Moa Was Radioactive' (1962)

A New Zealand method of radio-carbon-dating and its application to archaeology. The age of that huge extinct flightless bird, the Giant Moa can be found by comparing the radio-activity of its bones with that of wood of known age.
