There is a reason so many people are confused about the millennium, and it is not by accident. Meanwhile, the dead remain in the grave until the end of the thousand years, when the final events unfold. The New Jerusalem descends, the wicked are raised, and Satan makes one last attempt to deceive before everything is brought to its final end. Only after this does the true restoration happen, a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells.
This is not just a theological detail. It is a line of truth that protects against one of the greatest end time deceptions, the idea of a false kingdom on earth and a counterfeit Christ walking among men. If you do not know that the real Christ does not touch the earth at His return, you are vulnerable to believing the wrong one when he appears. That is why this matters. Not tradition.
