The McLaren P1 rebuild by Tavarish just took an unbelievable turn. After Hurricane Ian flooded a rare Volcano Yellow McLaren P1, the hypercar was bought at a Copart salvage auction for $575,000 and turned into one of the wildest rebuild projects on YouTube.
Now the project has gone far beyond a simple restoration. The hybrid system has been removed, the target power is over 1,400 horsepower, and the original McLaren P1 designer Frank Stephenson has joined the project to redesign the car into a P1 Evo.
The goal is a 260 mph run at the Space Shuttle landing strip at Kennedy Space Center.
