On May 8th, 2025 - Robert Francis Prevost was elected pope, and took the name Pope Leo XIV. It turns out that Pope Leo XIV is one of us, that's right - he has a math degree! Today we'll talk about how one becomes pope, how the new pope became pope and established the math nerd to pope pipeline, and look at some proofs of the infinitude of the primes to give context to a good joke referencing religion, faith, and Paul Erdos. #maths #mathematics
