Before we get into the more general description, I think it is important to mention the big reboot announced for Series 25.
I am not particularly impressed, to say the least! I could go on for ages why but, in short, the problem is how they're going to treat the characters and world. Every story focusing on Thomas is plain ridiculous, and more 'expressive movements' are the last thing we needed. I was a bit less harsh on BWBA, because it still gave the other characters time to shine. It still focused on the world of Sodor (most of the time...!).
But now it seems like it's all... gone. All the dignity and pride of Thomas the Tank Engine is gone, and that upsets me.

So, what to do? It's not like I can go waltzing up to Mattel HQ and demand them to change things. Sure, I can grumble all I want (I think a few people muted me on Twitter recently!), but I wanted to do something more.
I began thinking about it a bit. At the same time, I began listening to songs by the band Go! Child, which is amazing if you ask me!
Then, a few nights after the reboot revealed, I woke up in bed and said 'WAIT A SECOND! JUST COMBINE THESE THINGS TOGETHER YA DUMB-DUMB!'
So, here we are.

Where you stand on this reboot is completely up to you, I'm not wanting to enforce an opinion on other people after all. If you're waiting to see the results, that's very fair! Personally, I just cannot see the benefit of all these changes. That Thomas design alone made me very upset. As someone who grew up surronded by these stories, I just could not bring myself to look at that promo and say 'Yup. This is fine'.
So, in my usual fashion, I made a video about it. But I didn't want this to be short and sad, I wanted it to perhaps serve as a reminder of how lucky we are to have Thomas. No matter where the show goes next, we'll always have this beautiful world to look back to.
After hearing the lyrics in these songs, I felt like perhaps a lot of them could be applied to Thomas. To how he grew, to how he changed, to how he's become. Therefore, I spent three days working on this! Sure, it's not an original story, but I think it's a very important video to share right now.

So yes! Go check out Go! Child, they only have two albums right now, but bloody hell they are wonderful. They gave me a lot of hope and joy, similar to how Thomas did, so putting the two together made me a bit emotional haha
