The story revolves around three powerful women with intertwined destinies: Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel). The main antagonist is Dar-Benn, the leader of the Kree, who holds a grudge against Carol due to a past encounter.
The plot kicks off when Kamala unexpectedly receives a bangle of unknown origin. Soon, all three heroines find themselves switching places whenever they use their powers. This complicates their lives, forcing them to team up to investigate the cause and put a stop to it.
They discover that Dar-Benn is using both bangles to power a weapon capable of creating unstable portals. She is siphoning resources from planets to rebuild the destroyed Hala, the Kree's homeworld. Her destructive actions prompt the heroines to take action to protect other planets and eventually Earth.
During their journey, the three women bond and work through their personal issues. Monica helps Carol and Kamala understand each other better, and they grow closer as a team. Throughout the adventure, they confront challenges, including an awkward diplomatic situation on Aladna, where Carol is accidentally married to Prince Yan.
Meanwhile, Fury and the Khan family are on a space station, which faces an unexpected Flerken infestation. Chaos ensues, adding humor to the otherwise intense story.
As the story progresses, Carol realizes that Dar-Benn's revenge is directed towards the planets Carol once called home, including Earth. To stop Dar-Benn, they must confront the possibility of losing Hala once again. Monica encourages Carol to make a difficult choice, acknowledging that they cannot save everyone.
With the universe becoming increasingly unstable due to Dar-Benn's actions, an incursion occurs during the climax. Carol fights Dar-Benn, while Monica and Kamala try to fix the incursion. Monica ends up getting stuck in another universe after successfully resolving the issue.
As the story concludes, Carol faces a moral reckoning, understanding how she appears as the Annihilator from Kree's perspective. Despite the difficult decision, she reaffirms her determination to stop Dar-Benn.
The narrative combines elements of superhero action with comedic moments, creating a unique tonal clash reminiscent of films like Guardians of the Galaxy. The trio's dynamic and the personal growth they experience throughout the journey add depth to the story.
