Andrew Tate. Fresh and Fit. Red pill content. The manosphere. It's everywhere right now — and after Louis Theroux's recent documentary shone a spotlight on it, everyone has an opinion on who to blame.
But almost nobody is asking the right question.
These influencers aren't ideologues. They're entrepreneurs. They identified a vulnerable, angry, and directionless audience — young men who have been systematically stripped of masculine role models by a culture that treats masculinity itself as the problem — and they built a business around them. The algorithm rewards outrage. The audience rewards controversy. And the online course pyramid schemes do the rest.
Meanwhile the influencers sit back and count the money.
In this video I argue that we are pointing our fingers in entirely the wrong direction. Yes the content is toxic. Yes the creators are exploiting vulnerable young men for profit. But they didn't create the problem — they moved into a vacuum that we created.
A generation of young boys grew up without strong masculine role models. Schools, media, and culture told them that their natural instincts were dangerous. That competition was toxic. That ambition was aggression. Nobody gave them a healthy framework for what it means to be a man — so when someone online offered them one, however warped, they took it.
I cover:

Why the manosphere is fundamentally a revenue model dressed up as philosophy
How social media algorithms actively incentivise the most divisive content
The real reason young men are so susceptible to this messaging
How the removal of masculine role models created the vacuum these bad actors exploited
Why cancelling creators does absolutely nothing to fix the underlying problem
What we should actually be doing instead — and why nobody wants to talk about it

Banning Tate doesn't fix a lonely, directionless eighteen year old. Fixing the eighteen year old means he never needs Tate in the first place.
That's the conversation we should be having.
