Considering the Main Street Omnibus was only out running 1 time out of all the visits I made to the Magic Kingdom this trip, I rode it back to Cinderella Castle, after having just ride. it fro. Cinderella Castle to Town Square.
This trip I went up top to get the upper visuals for this video...
This is one out of only 3 Omnibuses which were custom made at Central Shops by Walt Disney World, and the other 2 of the triplets I own and have in New Jersey.
This one has been refurbished fairly recently, and the green color is darker than the original green from 1986...
There were several places where the Omnibus has received damage from hitting something on the edges of fenders, and there is a rear portion which has nipple on the metal of the stairway, which needs repair...
Back when I had the honor of driving the Omnibus on Main Street, it was required that a narrative spiel would be given a long the way, pointing out various things along Main Street...
Today, and for a long while now, there is no narration, and only a stock safety announcement is made.
The Horn and Bell were not used as much when I Drove, because my voice coming over the Omnibus's Speakers served as a warning to Guest Walking on Main Street, that they should watch out because the Omnibus is coming!
The Guest Experience is diminished when the Omnibus and other Main Street Vehicles are not giving life to the Street, and the lack of personality from the operators also effects the Show...
Whenever the Main Street Vehicles are out, be sure to ride them, for someday, the experience may be completely gone.
