Today we venture into the abandoned town house of Idris & Irene. Idris was born in 1925 & Irene 1927. They married in 1946 and had 2 children. Chris was born in 1950 and Neil in 1952.
Idris and Irene unfortunately passed away in 2014 leaving the property to the 2 brothers. The brothers decided to sell to a development company, with plans of putting 29 residential apartments.
Locals have fought the case and pleaded that the house not be knocked down and re developed. They feel the new development would not fit the surrounding area. Would add more un desired traffic and put a strain on the fractured water & sewage system in the area
Locals still fight to this day and have managed to put a pause the development. During this feud the property still stands, slowly falling back into natures grasp. We will now dive into the once beautiful home of Idris & Irene.
