In this video, I am using ZBrush to sculpt a character from scratch. In fact, in this series, we will be working on the character named Mr. Arata from beginning to End. If you catch me on the live stream, you can even participate in making design decisions. Mr. Arata is a creation made by contributions from all of you.
At this point, Mr. Arata is a Magician who tries to get dragons under his control. He needs their power to take revenge against the king who is to blame for his wife's death. His wife was a demon... This is how far we got. Can't wait to get your ideas :)

![[Part 1/ 40] Anime Character 3D Modeling Tutorial II - Reference and Basemesh
This video is the 1st part of 40 in this very detailed tutorial series about modeling. Ill take you through all the steps of anime style character creation in the 3d software called Blender and without any time lapse.
If you havent watched it already make sure to go through part 0! In that video Ill show you the final result and tell you all about the modifications I did with my version of Blender. Also youll find the references in the description of that video.
By the way, the character design was made by the creators of Sword Art Online and all credit goes to them. Im using it as an example to teach how to work with real characters as youd find them in any animation.
Thanks for watching!

As for the project, weve started working on a new character controller which is very work in progress at the moment. Also added some new props here and there and made some improvements to the light as well as working on a dialogue system that can be triggered by looking at things or walking into a certain area.
Oh and finally I mentioned my new Tumblr account, so if youre interested feel free to take a look: http://danielkreuter.tumblr.com/ Project CORE [ep03] - Development Progress](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/FD4Nfy2MS3Q/mqdefault.jpg)

![[Blender 3D] Basic Transformation Tutorial - The Most Efficient Method
Here is a quick video about a very basic topic. Blender is a 3d modeling software and most of you are probably spending a great amount of time transforming vertices and objects. This can be done in several ways including the transformation handles and keyboard shortcuts. In this video I will introduce both and specifically talk about how to make use of them with speed. Efficient use allows us to work faster which leads to more detail and volume in production. I hope the information I am presenting is useful. Thank you as always for watching!

![Talking about what I learned from my non-artist girlfriend [ENG+JP]
In this video me and my girlfriend Yu, talk about what we learned from each other and how an artist can benefit from opinions that go against their beliefs. I am also showing a 3d printed chopstick holder which I created recently.
