The 56X was an experimental Type 56 TARDIS. It could release energies and gravitational waves produced by the eye of harmony into normal space in a controlled manner. The goal, originally postulated by Roppen, was to create a TARDIS that could punch through into alternate realities. This experimental TT capsule made five flights. The fourth flight almost stranded the pilots in void space. On the fifth flight, only fragments of the pilots returned. Due to the horrific outcome of the final flight and the lack of any useable data gained, the experiment was deemed a failure and research of this nature was banned.
