"The Ladies Who Lunch" from Stephen Sondheim's Company. It's a song made famous by the great Elaine Stritch. Figured I'd give it a go. The song is pretty much a drunken tirade from someone who's feeling old, under appreciated, and unsatisfied.
This was a one take deal, so any mess ups just add to the..spontaneity of it all. This was pretty much a product of boredom. I feel awfully stupid singing to nothing, but oh well...guess that's just acting for ya.
This was recently sung by Patti LuPone in the filmed concert version of Company!
