The Death Korps of Krieg are probably one of the best examples of the hidden Imperial evil in the narrative of 40K.
The tragedy of their planet, paired with a generational, ingrained shame and indoctrination. A cult of sacrifice mixed with the hard drill of the military. Deeply de-personalised, yet somewhat still so human in my eyes. Paying for the "crime" of existence that they did not ask for.
We tried to build and paint them with those themes in mind, mixing different 40K and 30K kits, mundane items, and additions to create a more unique look for this regiment.
