Some theologians and pastors will never say that Jesus smiled, or laughed because the gospels never mention Him smiling or laughing. The last words of John’s gospel tell us that Jesus did many things which were not written down and yet, if we dig deeper into what is written down we will see that Jesus not only spread joy wherever He went, but that He shared the joy of those whose lives He transformed.
