Japan’s Only Luxury Hotel with a Race Track – Hyatt Fuji Speedway Hotel Review & Super Formula Experience. Welcome to Japan’s one-of-a-kind luxury hotel where you can watch professional motorsports right from your room. In this video, I take you inside Hyatt Fuji Speedway Hotel in Shizuoka, located at the base of Mt. Fuji, and share my full experience staying in the Grand Prix Suite with a circuit view during the Super Formula race weekend.
This is the only luxury hotel in Japan with an FIA Grade 1 circuit, offering front-row views of Drift Cars, Super GT, Super Taikyu, and more — all from the comfort of your balcony. From the moment we arrived, I was blown away by the amenities, including a full Mikimoto Pearl skincare set, earplugs for the races, and incredible trackside activities.
During the race weekend, we explored motorsports events, festival-style food stalls, and family-friendly activities, including kids’ games and a pool. I even tried go-karting with Wolfy, and we booked the hotel’s private bar room with a Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator to drive the same track we were watching outside our window.
We also enjoyed the hotel’s Robata fireside restaurant, serving fresh seasonal ingredients from Shizuoka, and tried their delicious room service while watching the races in comfort. A highlight of our stay was the VIP Grid Walk, giving us exclusive access to walk the track before the race, see the cars up close, and meet drivers — something usually reserved for sponsors and special guests.
