I found that the IRS guidelines specifically address "sovereign citizens" and those who claim they are not required to pay taxes, by being a "national," or through "renounced citizenship," etc. The IRS ain't playing around and warns of the civil and criminal penalties, and warns those who aid and abet this through tax preparation and refunds, etc. Very interesting to see "sovereign citizen" as part of their interpretations of the regulations.
