The recently held economic roundtable considered the many dimensions of economic development in Australia. Not the least of these was the role that innovation might play in improving productivity and contributing to the resilience of the economy.

This session will explore the fundamentals of innovation and its role in industry growth. Partly taking an historical perspective, case studies with an Australian perspective on how innovation has worked and might work will be discussed.
