India is the fastest growing and among the largest economies in the world today, demonstrating remarkable economic resilience in the face of global volatility. A diverse panel examines the challenges, milestones and current economic discourse around the world’s fourth-largest economy and the path it paves for the world.
Jaideep Prabhu is Professor of Marketing and Nehru Professor of Indian Business at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, where he also serves as Director of the Centre for India & Global Business and Vice Dean for Faculty. A leading expert in innovation, strategy, and international business, his research focuses on high-tech and frugal innovation across emerging and developed economies. He is the co-author of Jugaad Innovation, Frugal Innovation—winner of the CMI’s Management Book of the Year—and How Should a Government Be? He is a Fellow of the British Academy and has played cricket at Lord’s.
Lord Jitesh Gadhia is a British Indian investment banker, businessman, and Member of the UK House of Lords since 2016. With over 30 years in financial services, he has held senior roles at Blackstone, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO, and Baring Brothers. He serves on leading UK corporate and public boards, including the Bank of England, and chairs the British Asian Trust, founded by King Charles III. He studied Economics at Cambridge and was a Sloan Fellow at London Business School.
Swati Dhingra is Associate Professor of Economics and Programme Director of Green Transition at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an External Member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee. She serves as a Director of The Royal Mint Museum, the Royal Economic Society, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, and the Review of Economic Studies. She has also contributed to the Economy 2030 Inquiry, the UK Trade Modelling Review Expert Panel, and the LSE Economic Diplomacy Commission. A graduate of the University of Delhi and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University.
