Oxford mathematician Marcus du Sautoy's recent book, Blueprints: How Mathematics Shaped Creativity, demonstrates the transformative power of mathematics in the creative world. Marcus du Sautoy is Simonyi professor of public understanding of science and professor of mathematics at the University of Oxford and a fellow of the Royal Society. He has authored nine books and two plays and has presented numerous radio and television series for the BBC.
