In this week's #fridaysews video, I'm sharing my finished sewing projects, giving an honest review of blouse pattern S9231 and purchases I've made. This sewing video is all about what I've been up to since I last saw you.

My first completed sewing project, S9231. I bought this pattern on a whim and usually it goes into my pattern stash and would get made up at some point, but after finishing my 'Fishing on Cotton' shirt, B5526, with its princess seams and multi-coloured buttons I decided I needed a break from shirt making and decided to dig some fabric out of my stash to make up this lovely, very simple blouse with its pleated neckline that hugs the neck.
As mentioned before I generally like to make garments about three times as this is usually how many makes it takes me to get the perfect fit for me. So this first attempt at this pattern brought up a few easily adjustable issues; I have narrow shoulders in comparison to the rest of me, so I will amend the shoulder length, increase the sleeve length by at least 2 inches and increase the bicep area as it is very snug to the arm. I would make this blouse again. Though it has a few fit issues, it wouldn't stop me from wearing it. My second make of this pattern will probably be in the Orange Mosaic Twist fabric I bought from Stitch Fabrics. I'm itching to use that fabric!!
My sewing plans going forward, now I have finally found the trim I was looking for for my Caroline Charles' Crown Cushion, is to finally finish this glorious crown cushion. I feel very inspired to now get it completed and out of my WIP box forever.
I need to also start sewing my hubby his Christmas shirt, McCall's M6044, with the same fabric as the one I've made mine in…. the 'Fishing on Cotton'. I have to make a small adjustment to the pattern for his tummy and it's all action stations.
