Every July for the past few summers, the Town of Plattsburgh has hosted “Michigan Month” to celebrate the North Country’s most famous culinary delicacy. "Michigans" were first sold at a roadside stand just south of the City of Plattsburgh nearly a hundred years ago.

This summer, local author Dan Ladue has written a new book, Two With, Buried: The History of the Michigan Hot Dog, that tells the story of the famous hot dog's origins here in the North Country.
