In life, individuals are often faced with difficult or dark times. Sometimes the darkness envelops them and takes for granted that there is good or light ahead. This film is a reflection and reminder that there’s always light, like the eclipse casting darkness soon to be followed by light.

Beyond the Peaks Student Film Festival is a celebration of young filmmaker's creativity. The festival is hosted annually by Mountain Lake PBS with the aim of expanding opportunities in filmmaking and digital storytelling while creating a platform for creative expression, and empowering youth voices.
