The Town of Plattsburgh is looking to the state hoping it will be chosen for the next round of Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant money that awards communities 10-million dollars to revitalize & reinvigorate their downtowns.
The Town is inviting the public to weigh in on the pitch to the State. Town Supervisor Michael Cashman says a Public Info Session will be held on June 5th from 6-8pm at Senior Planet inside the Champlain Centre Mall. Cashman says the bid will focus on the Town Center area, Route 3 Corridor, and the area around the Champlain Centre Mall. Cashman says housing, recreation, and retail will likely be key elements.
