Before I write any more of This Book Is For October I first must do some research. My sister is getting her Phd in Medieval History and is writing her entire dissertation on a medieval herbal manuscript. Since my main character, Hecate, works with herbs for both their practical and magical uses, the pressure is on to not make a fool of myself.
I must say, writing this book as we move into September is putting me in a spooky sort of vibe. Luckily I'm in a place where the temperature is cooling off so I can almost convince myself that fall has already arrived.
