India’s drug trafficking network is moving beyond traditional routes, with traffickers using online platforms, courier services and ordinary parcels to deliver drugs without directly meeting buyers or delivery workers. In Goa, police recently intercepted a courier consignment containing drugs hidden inside a steam iron, highlighting how everyday logistics networks can be exploited for illegal deliveries. Goa Police later held an awareness meeting with more than 75 courier and postal representatives over the misuse of parcels, delivery vehicles and unsuspecting delivery partners.
