I recently saw a well-meaning AuthorTuber recommend the ubiquitous Hero's Journey from Joseph Campbell as the current gold standard in storytelling, and I disagreed strongly.
So if you are a reader or lover of cinema who has hitherto been unaware that you deserve much, much better from your stories than the same old hero with a slightly different face, this video is for you.
