The Ground-Up Void Deck Library HV Little Library at Holland Village (Block 2 Holland Avenue) started as a small resident initiative and grew to house over 5,000 community-donated books right at an HDB void deck.
Nestled within the heartlands of Singapore, these 5,000+ book library bring reading directly to residents' doorsteps. Moving away from traditional, standalone regional libraries, these spaces repurpose community hubs and HDB void decks into vibrant reading nooks. They rely on self-service app checkouts or honor-system book swaps, blending modern convenience with traditional "kampong spirit.
