The MV Hondius departed Ushuaia, Argentina on March 20 for an Antarctic expedition. Between April 6 and April 28, passengers began falling ill β 22 days before the WHO was ever notified. Hantavirus symptoms in humans start like the flu: fever, muscle aches, fatigue and coughing. But without early
