This Aztech Sound Galaxy Washington 16 sound card is amusing due to its rather complete intolerance to electrostatic potential energy, as I demonstrate using my hand. I could understand how such static electricity could cause the sound card to stop working entirely or have noise on its output, but I cannot wrap my head around how it could possibly slow, but not stop, MIDI playback. At some point I intend to move this computer to a location where I can properly ground it, to see if this interesting behavior continues in such a "correct" operating environment.
Yes, this was recorded on my cell phone, so my voice is muffled, because for some reason my phone is wonderful like that.
