---------------
First time I forgot to update the stream description. I didn't have much to say anyway. The Guardian Legend is a game I got as a random cheap second hand find around ~20 years ago. I'm not a much of a shmup guy, but I gave the game a chance and was very pleasantly surprised to learn about the other part of the game.
Just a regular playthrough. I got everything worth collecting, but I intentionally skipped one of the Blue Lander shops because it's just a waste of chips if you've collected everything so far. The game over I had was completely accidental, but I considered getting one anyway near the end, somewhere close to a checkpoint, just to show what happens. You'll also see me walking through some walls, that's a strange bug present in the game where you become able to cross certain walls by walking into them diagonally once your walking speed is upgraded.
You ever wonder what happened to the Blue and Red Landers at the end?

I accidentally defeated Wily before he could activate his Double Gear system, which I didnt know you could do.
Well, this was quite the adventure. I had a ton of fun playing this game. I just wish the videos didnt have those minor skips in them, but I guess Im doomed to not ever have a Mega Man playthrough without some sort of technical difficulties.
I wonder if there will be eventual DLC like with 9 and 10.
Anyway, time to go back into hiding until I find some garbage to upload.

![Contra [NES] Playthrough (Archive*)

This stream was a little bit unique. Check the Stream Description if you want to find out why.
I already have my eye on a game I will most likely stream next.
Stream Date: 2022-07-23
Stream Title: Its Contra
Live Notification: S for Success
Stream Description: Quick Contra today with a bit of a twist as I already know the result. A couple hours before I decided to stream, I played Contra with input recording enabled. I usually dont know how things will go when I write stuff down here, but I would have typed the following.
The goal is a regular playthrough, hopefully without many/any deaths.
Contra was one of those games I only knew through a crusty multicart (that I still own) from when I was a kid, and I played it a ton. I used to fancy myself pretty good at doing deathless runs, but most of that skill has left me over the decades.
Anyway, its unlikely Ill do an input movie in this way again, but I might start recording inputs during streams whenever possible. It seems like a better way of future-proofing archives over having just a 720p video.
...Youre still reading this? Thats amazing. Sincerely hoping it doesnt desync mid-stream and make everything super awkward.

100% playthrough (42 Gems, 25 Crystals). Played on a PS3 using the PS one Classics version since my physical copy tends to freeze in the third warp zone levels a lot. Its the PAL version, so there are some differences.

![Super Mario Maker 2 - Custom Course: Ca$h Money in the Desert
Another objective-based level. This time its a far simpler task than the previous one.
Course ID: 9JK-BM3-PLG
[0:00-2:26] Playthrough
- 0:20 Starting right away with a little 1UP secret.
- 0:39 Picking up the shell here and carrying it to the platform above lets you kick open a 1UP and a Super Mushroom/Super Leaf.
- 0:50 A hidden 10-Coin above the pipe with that drops the P-Switches.
- 0:53 Using your tail you can thwack a hidden block above the short pillar for a 1UP.
- 0:59 Hitting another hidden block with your tail reveals a Super Star.
- 1:07 As Raccoon Mario, a good running start lets you fly up behind the pipe for a hidden 30-Coin.
- 1:18 Flying up here reveals another 30-Coin.
- 1:35 You can climb the hidden blocks here to get a P-Switch that you can use to access the three 10-Coins
- 1:54 The door next to the exit leads to a vine block at the start of the level, creating a shortcut in case you need to go back and collect more coins.
- 2:03 You can either fly or climb the hidden blocks to the top to earn yourself a juicy 50-Coin.
[2:26] Other power-ups
- 2:26 If you collect a Super Mushroom somewhere else first and come back here, this block will be a Fire Flower.
- 2:36 This noteblock houses another tiered power-up that gives a Super Mushroom/Fire Flower.
Theres not really a lot to say about this level. Its one of those levels that I really like making every now and then with no notable features. Super Mario Bros. 3 is by far my favorite 2D Mario game, so I like making standard-ish levels in that game style.
