Before we crossed the line very far into a new State, we first had to drive back across the border to Florida. To Jacksonville to be more precise, to get meds for a sick puppy dog. There was some preparation needed to get Mike's truck to the spot where we would come ashore and a normal cruiser would probably just Uber over to wherever they needed to go, but it was nice, I suppose, to have our own ride when we needed it. Thanks to Mike for being a good buddy boater. It was very nice to know Bayard was on the mend. Even though he seemed to be bouncing back before we got him to medical attention, it was great to get professional confirmation and also stock up on the normal, everyday drugs the dogs needed.
Now it seemed we were finally ready to start going further up into our second state of the Great Loop. Florida was a long one. Georgia was next.
