The Great Giana Sisters was released in 1988 for the Atari ST by Rainbow Arts.

It is a very difficult game... at least too difficult for me, i did manage to get to level 10 but i used a warp and on my fourth try :)
The wierd flip "scrolling" is making it a bit more difficult to play.
And i think i managed to find the only place in the game you can get stuck at... look at 19:06 in the video.
Sorry about the ads that pop up but thats only because Youtube found "Matched third-party content"... it is the Giana Sisters title music that was matched.

Stephen Jones has released another update to the progress of the STE version of R-Type, called STNICCC preview.
Now all stages are playable even if i only get to stage 6 without cheat, but i play on easy difficulty or else i would probably not even get to stage 3 :)
This version is not finished and it is most noticable on the battleship level, still playable though.

I decided to do another Skyrim video with a dragon fight and this time i manage to kill a dragon alone for the first time, i also do the Nettlebane quest and at the end i get killed by a Giant Frostbite Spider... those are worse than the dragons :-/
I will probably do two more Skyrim vidoes since it is such a big game... it will be fun to look back at those videos in a couple of years :-)

Space Crusade: The Voyage Beyond was released in 1993 by Gremlin Graphics.
The mission disk adds 10 more missions to the original game wich makes a total of 22 missions, it also add 4 new enemies, 3 new ranks and 2 new weapons.
Im not good at this game... actually i dont think i ever completed a mission fully (with a surviving commander), the music is great though :-)
This video shows mission 6 - Hunt and Disable... i do of course fail to complete it at all.

Released in 1992 by 21st Century Entertainment in 1992.
This is not recorded from an original copy of the game (Superior menu 104) and i used the trainer for unlimited lives. Also this is only the second time i play the game... so i really have no idea what was the best way to kill the enemies in the game, it even took a couple of levels before i understod how to change weapon :-)
After i did this video so did i check an longplay (proper one with no cheat) of the Amiga version.
It is quite fun to compare the ST version to the Amiga as there are several differences (apart from the missing parallax scroll in the ST version and obviously does the Amiga use digital sound).
For example so does the first dragon (level 1) in the Amiga version have three heads and the ST version has only two heads. You might think this makes the ST version more simple... but then you are very wrong :-)
The ST version has less play area and thus makes the action more tight, it is just more difficult to avoid the enemy attacks. The ST version should have been more redesigned for the smaller play screen i think.
On level 4 so does the ST version have some enemies that dont seem to appear in the Amiga version (judging by the Amiga youtube longplay).
There are more differencies... i let you spot the rest, have fun ;-)
If you play this game on an Atari STE so does the music get an uplift compared to the ST sound, it is using the DMA of the STE and basically sound like the Amiga music.
I think the music is the only thing that get an enhancement when playing on an STE.
Rubicon has some great graphics by Mark Jones, some graphics are reused from Total Recall, just compare Rubicon level 7 and Total Recall level 1 :-)

Shadow of the Beast was released by Psygnosis in 1990 for the Atari ST.

16:26 - I start to play with cheats, also you will be able to read the full scrolltexts from the loadingscreens. The actual cheatmode adds 30 in lifepoints but you are not invincible so you need the enable it again when your health is low.
This is a very difficult game, the jerky scrolling and slow controls probably makes it more difficult than the Amiga original.
I play from the budget release (Sizzlers label).
Mark McCubbin got the hard job to make an ST version of SOTB and he was not allowed to make an version that used 1mb of memory... it would have helped a bit since pre-shifting more graphics in memory should allowed for slightly smoother scrolling.
Psygnosis made many lies in the manual claiming the following:
- 50 fps scrolling (well.. no, only for Amiga i guess)
- 132 unique monsters (No... again only Amiga version i guess)
- 13 levels of parallax scrolling (hmm... never counted them but i still think it goes for the Amiga version only)
- 900kb of music (The ST version only play title and game over music and i doubt it takes 900kb, so once again Amiga only i think)
- 2mb of graphics compressed on two disks (The ST version has less enemies than the Amiga version and graphics is only in 16 colours so once again Amiga only i think)
There is no mention that these facts are Amiga only in the manual, also it says the music is by Tim Wright :) But AFAIK so is the music by David Whittaker.

SNDH Update v4.4 demo released June 28, 2014 and made by The Psycho Hacking Force and Dead Hackers Society.
It was part of the demo/intro competition at Sommarhack 2014 and came first place.
As the name says so is this a demo for the SNDH archive update 4.4 and the demo contains a selection of new and updated song from the update (both game and demo music), more info can be read in the scrolltext.
I tried to play all songs in the demo to play at least once fully or until i got bored of the music ;-)
I do press the shift button to show raster time used for the music player but only after i pleyd a couple of songs already... i belive the Charles Callets Bobo music takes most raster time.
