The Great Fire of Meireki, also known as the Furisode Fire, was a tremendous lose of life and home for the people of Edo Japan. Some would even say it mimicked the catastrophe of the Fire of London in 1666. What cause such a fire? No one really knows, but, there is a legend of a cursed Kimono. When it was burned it caried the curse to the whole city of Edo.
